I cannot say enough wonderful things about 1818 Dentistry, Dr. Lynda Bard, and Barbie, my hygienist.
I had been dealing with a bite issue for nearly four years and had essentially learned to live with it. Barbie noticed something wasn’t right and genuinely cared enough not to let me leave without having Dr. Bard take a look. She knew I would probably put it off again and continue suffering, and I am so grateful she insisted.
Within about 10 minutes, Dr. Bard identified the problem and carefully adjusted a small edge of my tooth that had been throwing off my bite. She was incredibly attentive, precise, and thoughtful, taking the time to make sure my bite felt exactly right before I left.
The difference has been remarkable. After years of chewing primarily on one side, my bite finally feels balanced, and even the neck and shoulder discomfort I had been experiencing has improved. I had also been having digestive issues that I believe were made worse by not chewing properly.
What impressed me most was how much they cared. This wasn’t a complicated or lengthy procedure—it was simply two professionals paying attention, listening, and wanting to help. Barbie advocated for me when I probably would have continued putting the problem off, and Dr. Bard took excellent care of me.
I am incredibly grateful to both of them and highly recommend 1818 Dentistry to anyone looking for a dental practice that is attentive, compassionate, thorough, and truly invested in its patients.
